Breast Education & Mammograms
For women 40+ Have Peace of Mind!!
There is no better time than the present to make your breast health a priority. It’s a new year; you’re looking good, so let’s make sure you feel good. Wellness starts from the inside. There is no better time than the present to make or maintain good breast health. The Swedish mobile mammography coach is coming to the Southeast Seattle Senior Center on the following dates:
- Friday, April 19th
- Friday, June 21st
- Friday, September 27th
- Friday, December 13th
As a special incentive, all women who come into the Center for their annual mammogram performed on the Swedish coach will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card from Safeway grocery store. If you bring a friend with you to get a mammogram, your chances for winning the gift card are doubled! All women 40+ can use the service. Swedish accepts most forms of insurance including Medicare and Medicaid. The only insurance not accepted is GAU. If you feel you are in need of mammography services and are not yet 40 years of age, please check with your doctor or call the number below.
If you are not a senior and don’t have insurance you can still get a mammogram. The BCCHP (Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program) program will provide funding to cover a health exam and mammogram for qualifying women age 40-64. Foot Care with Echo
Tuesdays by Appt., 8:30am-3:00pm
Location: Wellness Center
Foot Care Specialist: Echo Aumick
$25.00 members/$30.00 non-members
Echo Aumick is a caring and experienced foot care provider trained to take care of some foot conditions. She is also certified to treat the feet of those with diabetes. After completing an assessment of your feet, she will soak them, trim and file nails and pad corns/calluses. Bring a towel to your appointment. Cancellation a day before your appointment is acceptable. No-shows will be charged the regular fee. Sign up at the Front Desk for your appointment.
Massage Therapy
Wednesdays by Appt., 9:30am - 3:30pm, EXCEPT the first Wednesday of the month.

Massage Therapist: Heather Robinson
Cost: $22.00 members/$27.00 non-members for a 30min. massage.
1 hour massages are also available!
Heather Robinson provides low cost, 30-minute therapeutic massages by appointment. Call 206-722-0317 to make an appointment in advance or register at the Front Desk.
Manicure Services
1st and 3rd Tuesdays, 2:30pm - 4:30pm
Location: Wellness Center
Manicurist: FeFe Mengistu
Cost: $4.00 per manicure
FeFe Mengistu is the SESSC’s Manicurist. Begin your rejuvenation with a manicure provided by a licensed cosmetologist. Sign up at the Front Desk. Each appointment lasts 25 to 30 minutes. Provide your own nail polish.
Healthy Smiles Dental Services

Dental Hygenist: Deb Fredrikson
The convenience of regular teeth cleanings is coming to you at a fraction of the price you pay at a local dentist’s office! Deb Fredrikson, a dental hygienist of 16+ years, will offer full dental hygiene services including oral cancer screenings and preventive oral care instruction for seniors 60+ years old in the comfort and privacy of the Southeast Seattle Senior Center. BONUS: If you require more extensive treatment (i.e. fillings), Deb can provide referrals to area dentists offering senior rates. With cash or check payment, your discounted rate is only $76.50 (optional fluoride treatment is FREE!) That’s less than HALF the price of private practitioners!
