“A STRING” - Play by Silver Kite
Thursday, August 27th, 12:30pm - 2:00pm
Location: Social Hall

This play is presented by Silver Kite, which specializes in bringing seniors and young people together to create theater and other arts. The string is a metaphor about connection and ties that bind. There will be an interactive workshop after the play.

SILVER KITE MEMORY BOX WORKSHOP
Friday, September 25th, 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Location: Social Hall
Cost: $20.00 per person

During this workshop, participants will identify a life experience or a favorite hobby and then design and craft a box to hold those memories. This will be a lot of fun!

AARP DRIVER SAFETY CLASS
Fridays,  21st, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Location: Multi-Purpose Room

Instructor: Michael Wayte Cost: $20.00, $15.00 with your AARP Card This popular class will show you defensive driving strategies. Completion of the course might lower your auto insurance rates! DEMENTIA-FRIENDLY DRUMMING CIRCLE
3rd Fridays,  Aug. 21st and Sept. 18th 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Location: Social Hall

A neat activity for people with any stage of memory loss to come together and explore the healing nature of rhythm and beats. Care-partners, family, and friends are encouraged to participate. Drums and other percussion instruments provided. All are welcome.
